 For deliveries in the Nottingham area, we aim to deliver them ourselves. We will contact you to let you know which time and date we will schedule your delivery. When you order via www.bakalikon.co.uk, in the notes add your address. Follow the same process for Pick Up orders.

For most of the locations across the UK Mainland, the goods are delivered through a third-party courier service which will need a signature. We are collaborating with a range of couriers such as Royal Mail and UPS among others and it is in Bakalikon's discretion to use any of the above companies to ship an order. After a Bank Holiday, there might be delay of 1 working business to dispatch your order. On some occasions we might need 1 business day to process your order before we dispatch it.

 

The delivery hours are typically Monday to Friday between 8:00am - 16:30pm, so especially on Priority orders, please make sure to be available between these hours. Please make sure that you have provided us with the address where you can receive your goods on the estimated delivery date and if there is any security code for the gate include that also. If you want your parcel to be left at the consierge please add that on the notes or contact us prior the dispatch. We ask you to give us with your telephone number, preferably your mobile number, so we can get in touch with you if anything unexpected happens with your order the driver of the courier might not call you to make alterantive arrangements with your order. Please note if you reschedule your delivery, we do not have any liability for the condition of your frozen items.

After we dispatch your order with a courier service, the tracking number and courier provider will be sent to you via email. In case you do not receive your order on time contact us so we can provide you with further assistance on the delivery process. After we post your order we do not longer have any control or responsibility. In some case when the driver will not find anyone might leave the parcel to an Access Point. To avoid this, contact the courier to change the delivery date. Refusal of your order, may lead to extra charges. Returns of purchased items after dispatch of an order will cost £15.95 and we will not issue a refund for chilled and frozen products or any shipping fees you have paid us. You cannot cancel the order if it is in transit or under an investigation.

Please note: It is your responsibility to ensure that there will be someone available to sign and collect the order at the delivery address and that your address is correct. If you order frozen food and miss the delivery because you were not at home or due to providing us wrong address or incomplete, Bakalikon accepts no responsibility if the frozen products became thawed.

Alcohol Delivery:  The purchase of alcohol can be any time, but the delivery will be between 08:00 – 22:00. Alcohol purchases must be made only if the buyer is 18 years old and over. If the courier is in doubt about the age of the recipient they will request some form of photo ID. If the person receiving the product(s) is unable to produce appropriate photo ID, unfortunately the courier will be unable to leave the shipment.

We will carefully pack your favourite chilled and frozen products in temperature controlled packages such as thermal foils with ice packs to preserve them in the right temperature. All orders containing chilled and frozen products will be delivered between Monday to Wednesday and can be shipped only with Priority service for hygiene reasons. Any frozen product is meant to be consumed on the same or next day of delivery and not be refrozen. In case your frozen items arrive to you at a chilled temperature they are ready to be cooked and/or stored in the fridge according to the manufacturer's guidelines. At checkout please select the Shipping Option "Chilled&Frozen" only. These does not apply for local deliveries/collections. Orders with cupboard food and chilled and/or frozen products might be split in two or more packages to secure the right temperature of the delivery. If you have any issues with your order, please send us images from the both inside and outside of the parcel, as well as the affected products, in the first 24 hours since you received your parcel, please note for late enquires we won't be able to assist you. For missing items you can send us your query for up to 3 days, please note for late enquires we won't be able to assist you. Please note it is your responsibility to look at the description of the product to identify it's best before/use by date among other features. If you change your delivery date with the courier, please note we do not have any liability for the items being defrosted, if you have any specific day that you wish your order to arrive please contact us.

The delivery cost includes all P&P expenses such as packaging and handling. All of our packaging except the wrapping tapes and film are recyclable.
